We will mix theory with practical application and go outdoors with the full-frame Canon 6D provided for by Photographic Repairs and put theory into full practice!

We will look at the difference between news spot and an image that is part of a larger documentary photo story and look at the different types of photo series – be it a classic photo story or a picture or portrait series.   We will then break down the different elements that make up a strong documentary image and go on to discuss what makes a good documentary photo edit. We will then take an exciting drive into Khayelitsha and put theory into dynamic practice!  You will shoot a short photo story and then bring it back in-studio to edit leaving you with your very own documentary photo story with our professional supervision.
